"I believe that photographers are homo ludens (people who play) and find “play” in the gap between the world of meaning and the world of meaninglessness with the toy camera. We see the world as we are made to see it, and whether it is real or virtual is no longer important.
I think it is important to feel the “play” of the world, whether real or virtual, is not important. This is because I choose photography, and the way to find “play” is different for each person, and it is up to each person to find it for himself/herself.
It is up to each person to find “play” in his or her own way. By sensing an aimless play, which cannot be reached by thought alone, the walls of unexperienced words and images, which we thought were self-evident as we drifted on the waves, become less self-evident. In doing so, we rediscover the waves that surround us, even if only for a short time.
We can choose words and order for our own desires.
I am exploring the distance from words through the act of photography."
